"The Chantilly dress is made up of three layers of detailed and intricate floral embroidery. The multi-coloured sheering at the top of the layers creates tightness around the bust and volume throughout the dress with detachable sheered blue organdie sleeves. My floral embroidery inspiration came from 16th century renaissance art. Huge flower arrangements were the main focal points in the paintings. I used the images from my research and created them in my own style. I hand painted them onto the fabric and used different scales of motifs on the fabric. After the hand painted flowers. I free machine embroidered on top of the flowers and hahand embroidered parts of the designs with a long chain stitch."
