I decided to pursue sustainable design as my specialism after becoming aware of how unsustainable and damaging the fashion industry is to the environment and the people that work within the industry. Instead of buying new fabrics, I saw the importance of reusing unused textiles and materials already available instead of buying new. As a designer I want to make clothing that is seen as a investment and treasured instead of just another piece of fast fashion.
